RUNWAY NEIGHBORHOOD 1.2 LOTTERY INFORMATION

The second phase of the Runway Neighborhood will have 17 homes with single family homes and duplexes available.

There are two separate lotteries in this phase – Summit School District and the Public Lottery. Some Households may qualify to apply for BOTH lotteries.

Please read the requirements carefully for each lottery and decide which one you qualify for. If you are unsure if your household meets the requirements for both lotteries, reach out to [email protected] and we can assist you.

Lottery Qualification:

Only one (1) application per household. If you will be owning, living in, and/or financing the property with another person, please list them on the application as a household member, but only fill out one (1) single application. Application is to be completed by primary applicant, adding information about household members as requested.

You must work 30+ hours per week on an annual basis for the Summit School District. This employment status must be active at the time of application.

This is ONLY for households with at least one member working for the Summit School District for 30 hours per week on an annual basis. If you do not meet this requirement, you must enter the Public Lottery that will open next week – October 16th.

Lottery Process Information:

Lottery Application Opens: Friday, October 9th at 12:00am

Lottery Application Closes: Thursday, October 15th at 11:59pm

Lottery Drawing: TBD

Applicants will be notified, via email, of eligibility and lottery number prior to the actual lottery.

Applications that are not complete and email confirmed at the deadline of Thursday, October 15th at 11:59pm will not be entered into the lottery. The lottery will be held TBD. The lottery will be electronic and hosted by a third-party, approved vendor. Results will be posted after the lottery is complete.

A full Buyer Eligibility Application & determination will be required of the top lottery winner 3 days after SCHA invites them to apply. In anticipation of the possibility of any applicant(s) not meeting full eligibility or choosing not to enter a purchase agreement when it’s their opportunity to do so, the number of those who move on to the full application will be greater than the number of units available.

Approved entry into the lottery does not imply an approval of the Buyer Eligibility Application & determination. If an applicant’s information is found to be false, the application will be removed from the lottery process.

Full Buyer Eligibility Process Information:

Full Buyer Eligibility Applications will collect information and documentation from applicant households to determine if the household meets the parameters of the restrictive covenant (deed restriction). To anticipate the required documents to be submitted at time of Full Eligibility Determination & Application, review Step 3 found HERE.

Lottery Qualification:

You must work 30+ hours per week on an annual basis in and in service to Summit County, CO. This qualification must be met by at least one individual intending to own any deed restricted property. This employment status must be active at the time of application.

Opening on October 16th...Public Runway 1.2 Lottery

This is for households with at least one member working in and in service to Summit Count, CO for 30 hours per week on an annual basis.

Lottery Process Information:

Lottery Application Opens: Friday, October 16th at 12:00am

Lottery Application Closes: Thursday, October 22nd at 11:59pm

Summit School District Lottery Application Open

Summit School District Employees can enter both lotteries.

SCHA Extended Hours
SCHA will have extended hours to answer any questions you may have from 4:30 – 6:30 on Wednesday, October 14th.

You can stop by SCHA anytime; you do not have to wait for this timeframe!
