New Classes Available in 2026

  • Demystifying Deed Restrictions

    • Summit County, Colorado, has many different restrictive covenants, each with its own set of rules and requirements, which can make them challenging to understand. This course will enhance participants’ understanding and equip them with the tools to determine key areas for review of restrictive covenants.
  • 1:1 Housing Counseling

    • Meet with one of our HUD Certified housing counselors in an individual meeting to assist in creating a budget, managing debt and credit, improving credit scores and other considerations when pursuing the purchase of a home.

Our counselors can assist with ongoing budgeting for keeping up on mortgage payments, saving for maintenance and emergencies, as well as home energy efficiency.

      Fee: $0

      Email: Info@summithousing if interested.

  • Current Workforce Homeowner Review

    • This course will assist current workforce housing owners in the understanding of the requirements of their restrictive covenants, specifically the maximum resale calculation, rental requirements, and the sale process.
  • Pathway to Homeownership

    • Purchasing a home may seem like an easy process, however there are many moving parts which can complicate when tasks should be completed. This course helps navigate the steps needed by an individual through the homebuying process, and when they should complete them.

These are just some of the new courses the SCHA plans to implement in 2026. Our team is consistently taking feedback from the community and trying to create learning opportunities that will assist in the workforce homebuying process.
