A cooperative endeavor of the Summit Association of Realtors and the Summit Combined Housing Authority (SCHA) to aid buyers and sellers of certain deed-restricted units selling their home.
• The seller of a deed-restricted unit signs a written listing agreement for a 90 day period with SCHA and agrees to pay SCHA a 2% FEE at closing if a buyer signs the purchase contract during the 90 day listing period.
• If the property is not under contract during the 90 day listing period, the seller agrees to list the property with a realtor participating in this program under a new listing agreement.
SERVICES TO BUYERS (When sold by SCHA) • Potential buyers must take the Homebuyer Class.
• Potential buyers are screened by the SCHA staff as to what deed-restricted units they might qualify for.
• SCHA provides a transaction coordinator after the contract has been signed; this person facilitates the transaction, handles title insurance, coordinates with the lenders, arranges for an inspection
